I am passionate about textiles and beautiful objects. I have a huge collection of beautiful rugs, fabric, blankets, bedspreads and wall hangings that adorn my house. A lot of these have been sourced on my travels. My house is also adorned with vintage objects. The photos say it all. I also have a love of clothing. I am attracted to good design, beautiful fabrics and patterns... I love handmade, unique, bespoke clothing, usually vintage inspired. I have an ‘eye for detail’ that relentlessly begs pleasing.
I love yoga which I do three times a week. Likewise bushwalking, camping and being in nature are favourite pastimes which I do often.
I have also always loved markets. In Melbourne where I live it is Camberwell market (Melbourne’s version of a flea market equivalent to Sydney’s Glebe market and London’s Portobello road market). In Asia I love the busy, bustling, hectic night and day markets.
Shanghai Tours are an opportunity to share my creative passions with like minded women: to share the knowledge which I have about Old Shanghai and provide an opportunity for people to have a travel experience which involves what they love doing while having fun at the same time.
